PSALM 139:14

“I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.” (ASV)

Psalm 139:13 also says, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb." Recently when looking at ultrasound pictures of our granddaughter (who will be celebrating her one year birthday soon!) we were amazed at the week by week progression as she was slowly formed within our daughter-in-law's womb. You could literally watch as each part of her was "knit" together to make her who she is. And to think that there have never been two human beings exactly alike! This is an amazing pointer to the Creator Who knows every little detail about you even down to the number of hairs on your head!

Sharing Jesus: Don't you want to know a personal God? A God who knitted you together meticulously? If He spent that much time knitting you together while you were being created, do you think He cares that much about you today? He does. Your life matters. You matter to Him, and He made you just like He planned to and wanted to. If you think you want to change yourself, then consider this Psalm. Many of us would like there to be something different about ourselves - maybe lose a little weight... maybe have a different hair style (or in my case... just more of it!)... maybe have more talent in a certain area...maybe even have freedom from something we're struggling with.... Whatever it may be, realizing that God loves you just as you are - just as He made you - can be enough for us to dig deeper into having a relationship with Him through His son Jesus. In that relationship, God can renew us, and we can be transformed by the "renewing of our minds!"
